The Kiwanis Club of Port Clinton is proud to support the STARR Project, a Drug Education Program for Ottawa County Youth. The STARR Project is a cooperative effort between Sheriff Steve Levorchick, Common Pleas Court Judge Bruce Winters, Ottawa County Municipal Court Judge Fritz Hany, Ottawa County Probate and Juvenile Court Judge Kathleen Giesler, and Ottawa County Prosecutor James VanEerten. The STARR Project stands for Start Talking About Risks and Realities in the fight to save Ottawa County Youth from the devastation of drugs. The STARR Project goal is to provide educational forums and vital information to the young people in our communities so they are better equipped to make informed decisions about drugs. Sheriff Levorchick is coordinating all efforts through the schools in Ottawa County.
