Member Information

Club Meetings: Every Wednesday at 12 noon, Ala Carte After Hours, 223 Madison Street, Port Clinton, OH 43452

Board Meetings: Every 3^rd Thursday of the month at 7:30 am, Ala Carte After Hours, 223 Madison Street, Port Clinton, OH 43452

Attendance: Members are encouraged to regularly attend the meetings. Attendance makeup credits for awards may be earned by attending a meeting of another Kiwanis Club, an Interclub, a club board meeting, a Key Club meeting, a Builder’s Club meeting, or working on a club project.

Initiation Fee: $80.00 (including shirt and pin) due with application. This is a one-time fee.

Club Dues: $243.00 per year (which includes club, state, and international dues) payable annually.

Meals: Ala Carte Cafe provides a menu each week with a choice from a weekly special, a soup and salad or a soup and sandwich. The current meal cost is $10.50 per week payable at the meeting, or by purchasing meal tickets in advance. Any member present at a weekly meeting is required to pay for a meal.

Greeter at Club Meetings: Each new member is encouraged to serve on this and any other committee. They are expected to be at the door 15 minutes prior to the club’s meeting time to greet members, visiting Kiwanians and guests. You will be asked to be a Greeter by the club Vice President.

Committee Assignments: Each new member will be assigned to a standing committee by the President. The President will endeavor to accommodate a new member’s preference, which should be noted on the prospective member form prior to installation.

Orientation: Prior to installation, each new member will be given an orientation and complete overview of what Kiwanis is all about, and everything that our club takes part in our community.

Lapel Pin: Each new member receives a Kiwanis lapel pin. Please wear your “K” proudly each day and especially to any club meetings/functions.

Name Badge: Every member receives a name badge, which is kept in a case at the Lodge. Wear your badge at each meeting to better acquaint yourself with all members of the club and them to you.
